Dress code (the part everyone asks)
- Everyone: shoulders and knees covered; no transparent or tight clothing; shoes removed in the prayer hall.
- Women: hair covered — bring a scarf or borrow a traditional abaya free of charge at the entrance.
- Men: long trousers; kanduras also lent if needed.
Timing around prayers
The mosque closes to visitors during prayer times, most notably Friday midday prayers, and runs adjusted hours in Ramadan. We pre-time every route against the day's prayer schedule so you never arrive at a closed door.
The photo spots our drivers swear by
- The main courtyard colonnade — the symmetry shot everyone comes for
- The reflective pools — best in late afternoon and after dark
- Under the main dome — the world's largest hand-knotted carpet and the great chandeliers
- Illuminated at night — the lighting system follows the lunar cycle
🕌 Entry is free — the only world-class attraction in the region where your ticket cost is zero.
